AGE GROUPS
Junior -- grades 3-5
Intermediate -- grades 6-8
Senior -- grades 9-12
You must enter a record book in your correct age group.

COST
There is no fee for record books on the county level.

GENERAL INFORMATION
Judging will be conducted by out-of-county judges for categories with competition.
If there is no competition in a category, Kaci will provide feedback.
First-place books at the county level advance to District-level judging.
If your book didn't place first in the category you entered, and you have a strong project in another category that is open, you may change categories to go to the district contest.
If you would like to work with Kaci or Sierra on your book, please contact them to set up a time!
DISTRICT CONTEST INFORMATION
Judging: Thursday, July 9, 2026
Record books are due to the County Extension Office on Monday, July 6 , 2026 by 5:00 PM!
NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS DEADLINE!

AGE GROUPS
Junior -- grades 3-5
Intermediate -- grades 6-8
Senior -- grades 9-12

COST
$15 per person
If you sold 10 or more raffle tickets in 2025, or are a first-year 4-H'er, then your fees are covered by the Lynn County Adult Leaders Association. If you register for the contest but do not end up competing, then you will be responsible for reimbursing your entry fee and will receive an invoice from Lynn County 4-H.
If you did not sell raffle tickets, then you will be responsible for paying your entry fee. You will receive an invoice from Lynn County 4-H. If you end up not competing, then you are still responsible for paying the entry fee.
Invoices will be sent through Square.
Payments may be made via:
cash (no service fee)
check, made out to Lynn 4-H Adult Leaders (no service fee)
Venmo: @lynncounty4-h (no service fee
Credit Card: through Square (will incur a 4% service fee)
Please ignore any invoices/requests for payment that come from anyone other than Lynn County 4-H.

GENERAL INFORMATION
All first-place books on the county level will advance to District.
Books are due to the CEO by 5:00 PM on Monday, July 6, 2026. ABSOLUTELY NO LATE BOOKS--we have a tight deadline to get the books to the District office.
Judging will take place on Thursday, July 9. You do not have to be present for judging.
Seniors -- first-place books in each category will advance to state judging.
If you would like to serve as a judge for District Record Book judging, please complete the application by Tuesday, June 30, 2026.
TEXAS 4-H RECORD BOOK JUDGING
SENIORS ONLY
Judging on the state level takes place in August. Last year, the deadline to submit books was July 31.
Books are submitted digitally for judging.
